What You’ll Do & Who You Are
We are looking for a Strategic UX Manager/Team lead (d/f/m) to join our team of 35+ designers, researchers, writers, and ops experts shaping the future of automotive e-commerce.
You will drive UX excellence at mobile.de, focusing on how UX operates—supporting strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration, and maximizing the impact of user research, design, and UX writing.
You will work closely with the Head of UX, UX managers, and senior product leadership to define and implement strategies, ways of working, and research activities that enhance team effectiveness and drive user-centered innovation.
You will report to the Head of UX, mobile.de. This is a hybrid role (1-2 office days/ week), and our office is based in Berlin Charlottenburg.

Responsibilities
- Improve UX Excellence and Innovation: Promote UX excellence and innovation by developing strategies to improve research, design ops, and UX writing processes.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and develop a small team of senior user researchers, design ops specialists, and UX writers, promoting a collaborative environment.
- Operational Excellence: Own best practices for user research, design systems, and UX writing, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all UX operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Advocacy: Build strong relationships with leaders and individuals across the company, effectively communicate UX strategies, and champion user-centered design principles throughout the organization. Promote research topics across the company.
- Research Impact and Insight: Together with senior researchers, guide the way-forward for how we do research and how it is embedded in our strategy and product development processes. Oversee the roadmap for strategic research topics.
- 4+ years of experience in leading UX teams, ideally with experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and driving large scale UX projects.
- Strong expertise in user research methodologies and practices within a product organization.
- Demonstrated understanding of design operations and systems.
- Exceptional at storytelling and bringing your message to a large organization
- Collaborative and motivated to work with different groups and teams
- Experience as a Head of UX in a smaller organization is highly desirable.
