The automotive industry is currently in a state of upheaval. In addition to electromobility, which is currently the focus of attention, further improvements to combustion engines and the development of other technologies such as fuel cells or hydrogen propulsion are being driven forward, all with a focus on minimizing pollutants and CO2 emissions to protect the environment. This is where IAV's state-of-the-art Materials Science Lab provides support with analytical and simulation tools. Both basic research and series development are carried out in close cooperation with automobile manufacturers. There is therefore a broad spectrum of topics and methods, from analytics to simulation, from the chemistry of batteries, materials and fuel cells to the design and integration of exhaust systems and sensor technology.

Your Tasks:

• You create and calibrate battery cell models.
• You carry out model comparisons.
• You investigate specific cell effects.
• You will provide support in carrying out and evaluating tests.
  
  

Necessary Skills:

• Ongoing studies with a scientific or technical focus - chemistry, physics, process or environmental engineering
• Confident handling of common IT (MS-Office etc.)
• Independent and autonomous way of working
• High level of commitment and self-motivation
• German language skills of at least C1 level and English language skills of at least B2 level

Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current monthly salary for this position is EUR 979.00.
