Your Mission
As a Senior Group Controller (m/f/d) at Trench Group, your mission is to provide clear and precise financial guidance, supporting strategic decisions for a sustainable energy future. Your Mission
As a Senior Group Controller (m/f/d) at Trench Group, your mission is to provide clear and precise financial guidance, supporting strategic decisions for a sustainable energy future. You'll ensure transparency and efficiency across global teams, navigating complex financial scenarios to drive the company's success in energy transmission.
Your Tasks:
- Budget Development & Monitoring: You are responsible for developing and supporting the annual budget plans for Trench Group and its nine factories. This includes overseeing the Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Financial Control Systems (FCS) to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with the company's goals.
- Financial Reporting & Forecasting: You manage the preparation and management of monthly closing reports and the rolling financial forecast (FC), allowing for continuous adjustments to financial figures. Your role includes preparing and consolidating monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, working closely with Group Accounting to ensure compliance and precision.
- Performance Analysis & Management Support: You analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed reports to support the management team at Trench Group. By providing insights and data-driven recommendations, you enable informed decision-making across the organization. Additionally, you prepare the financial report for monthly Board meetings, ensuring transparency regarding the current financial status of the company.
- Strategic Project Support: You support and evaluate strategic projects for both Trench Group and its factories, ensuring that these initiatives align with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Reporting Standards Development: You are instrumental in further developing global reporting standards to enhance transparency and efficiency within the organization. This includes improving reporting standards in the factories to ensure consistency and clarity across all financial processes at Trench Group.
- Ad Hoc Inquiries: You handle ad hoc inquiries quickly and conscientiously, delivering high-quality solutions that address immediate needs and challenges as they arise
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or related field; professional certifications preferred.
- Professional Experience: Extended experience in corporate finance, with expertise in financial oversight and strategic planning.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in controlling, accounting standards, consolidation techniques, financial software, ERP systems, advanced Excel, and tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Lucanet for financial analysis.
- Adaptability & Analytical Skills: Skilled at adapting to business changes and navigating complex financial scenarios.
- Interpersonal & Collaborative Skills: Strong collaborative skills for working with cross-functional, multinational teams. As well as clear and appreciative communication
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in German and English for effective bilingual communication.
