At Reethaus, we are looking for professional and reliable Event Security Staff to support our Event Operations Manager in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests, artists, and staff. This position is available on a part-time or occasional basis.

The Reethaus is a semi-subterranean performance space that recently opened as part of the Flussbad campus which will encompass exhibition spaces, gastronomy, creative studios, and holistic health offerings. Inspired by ancient temples, the Reethaus is designed with a 360-degree spatial sound system that creates ideal conditions for experiential installations, mind-body practice, holistic learning, and artistic performance drawn from Berlin’s rich cultural scene.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the security and safety of guests, staff, and performers during events.
• Monitor entry points and ensure only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
• Conduct security checks and enforce venue policies in a professional and courteous manner.
• Respond promptly to any incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
• Provide guidance and assistance to guests while maintaining a friendly yet authoritative presence.
• Collaborate with the Event Operations Manager and other team members to ensure smooth event execution.
• Maintain awareness of crowd dynamics and intervene when necessary.
• Secure the venue after events and report any irregularities.
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in event security, venue security, or a related role.
• Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in German and English.
• A professional and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to handle conflicts and difficult situations tactfully and effectively.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours based on event schedules.
• A valid security certification (Sachkundeprüfung nach
• 34a GewO) is preferred.
