JOB DESCRIPTION

The role

As part of the expansion of our tax department, we are now looking for a Senior Manager International & German Tax (m/f/d) to join our global finance team in Berlin. In order to perform the tasks listed below, excellent English and German language (speaking and writing) skills are required

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional departments and provide comprehensive international corporate tax advice with respect to business operations and expansion, but also a variety of topics such as financing measures and dividends, M&A, cross border transactions and global mobility, whilst safeguarding German tax aspects such as Außensteuergesetz (AStG)
• Develop, implement and lead various HelloFresh's international tax topics, processes and projects
• Analysis and delivery of solutions for global, trans-regional tax developments (such as ATAD, MDR and BEPS)
• Global tax compliance monitoring, including the improvement of our tax compliance and audit tracker
• Further development and implementation of Pillar Two technologies, and perform periodic Pillar Two calculations
• Support with ongoing tax compliance requirements (CbCR, DAC 6, Pillar 2)
• Support tax audits and tax litigation of our national and international group companies and their teams, including negotiations with local tax authorities
• Support our tax reporting team in determining taxes in the quarterly and annual group and local German financial statements and in planning calculations and assist in the preparation of the German tax returns
• Work together with Global Mobility on ensuring tax compliance and risk management
• Maintenance and further development of our Tax Compliance Management System through identification of measures, implementation of controls and continuous optimization of processes with regard to international tax law
• Provide guidance to internal teams on tax implications related to various business decisions
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors

What you’ll bring

• You have a degree in economics or law with a focus on taxation
• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the tax department of a company or an international tax consultancy or auditing firm
• Knowledge of international and German tax laws
• Project Leadership Credentials
• A successfully completed tax advisor examination is an advantage
• You have very good English and profound German language skills and enjoy working in an international environment
• You work independently and in a structured manner
