We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Ocean team, a dynamic group within our Customer-Facing Department that owns rebuy.de - the digital heart of our sustainable electronics mission. Every day, thousands of customers visit our platform to give electronic devices a second life, and you'll be at the center of making that experience exceptional.

As our new teammate, you'll collaborate with experienced developers who are eager to mentor you as you grow your skills across our tech stack. You'll have the unique opportunity to touch both backend and frontend technologies - primarily working with PHP/Symfony and Kotlin in our service-oriented architecture, while also developing frontend skills with Angular when needed. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop features for our rebuy.de using PHP/Symfony in the backend and Angular in the frontend, with opportunities to explore Kotlin
• Collaborate with experienced team members to implement solutions that enhance the customer shopping experience
• Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to our team’s coding standards and best practices
• Participate in code reviews to both receive feedback and develop your skills in evaluating code quality
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving bugs, turning challenges into learning opportunities
• Help implement features that span both frontend and backend components
• Work alongside our UX/UI designers to bring visual concepts to life with angular
• Support the testing and deployment of new features through our CI/CD pipeline
• Basic proficiency in either PHP or Angular (you don’t need to know both - we’ll help you develop your skills!)
• Enthusiasm to learn whichever technology you’re less familiar with
• Understanding of fundamental web development concepts (HTTP, REST APIs, databases)
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Problem-solving mindset and enthusiasm for learning new technologies
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Familiarity with PHP frameworks like Symfony or Laravel
• Previous experience with Angular
