THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As Business Intelligence Analyst Data Enablement, you play a pivotal role in driving business growth by unlocking the value of data in Zalando Lounge & Outlets.

As part of the central Data Platform Team and core team of Analytics experts, you will develop and improve the data landscape, data governance and reporting landscape for the second largest part of Zalando business. You will collaborate with diverse teams across Zalando (business, technical, data) to enable the use of our foundational data and analytics competencies, shaping the future of data usage to drive analysis, insights generation and decision making. Your responsibilities will also include supporting and enhancing the integration of our planning tooling (ANAPLAN), ensuring its seamless operation as part of our overall planning and reporting landscape. This involves stewarding data inputs and outputs, enabling strategic modules, and integrating ANAPLAN data with other tools like Tableau.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

Business & Data

• You identify data requirements and translate into functional requirements for data engineers, following best practices and developing new data products, acting as the data steward for core data domains

• Support the design, data modeling, maintenance, and stewardship of key data layers and metrics, including those used in planning and reporting tools such as ANAPLAN (planning tool) and Tableau (BI tool).

• Support data quality initiatives, ensuring that datasets meet governance standards and that documentation is up-to-date.

Reporting

• Assist in curating data sources and ensuring seamless integration into reporting and planning tools like Tableau and ANAPLAN.

Data Enablement & Governance

• Educate end users and data professionals on key data topics, including new datasets, data modeling best practices, reporting principles, and the broader data landscape.

• Act as a champion for scalable and efficient data practices, balancing business needs with long-term platform sustainability.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• A degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or similar areas

• Proven track record of >3 years experience in Business Intelligence or Business Analytics in an enterprise environment

• Good understanding of data warehousing and analytical methods (eg databases and data structures, descriptive and diagnostic data analysis)

• Solid knowledge of SQL and data modeling. Hands-on experience with Tableau > 1 year

• Excellent root cause analysis and data related problem-solving skills are your strengths. You are a driver for change and enthusiastic about data, people and processes

• Good project management and stakeholder management skills

• Exposure to financial planning workflows and data integration is a strong plus.
