What You’ll Do & Who You Are

We are looking for an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Finance Team at Kleinanzeigen in Berlin.

In this individual contributor role, you will drive the identification and mitigation of compliance risks, analyze internal processes, and enhance our internal control system. Taking ownership of the compliance risk management process, you empower the business to prevent, detect, and respond to compliance risks. Applying your expertise in internal control methodologies, you are a trusted advisor, helping to identify and implement key controls across business operations and IT systems.

You will operate on a hybrid model, requiring a combination of remote work and in-office presence at our Berlin office in Charlottenburg. You will report to the Head of Accounting and Controlling.

What You'll Do

• Support Kleinanzeigen in the adoption and use of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.
• Coordinate top-down and bottom-up risk assessment processes, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with different departments and risk owners on projects that require risk subject matter expertise and guidance.
• Establish a company culture of risk awareness and behaviour.
• Provide ERM and risk awareness training across the company.
• Set up and improve effective internal policies and controls and monitor effectiveness and adherence to them.
• Support teams in fulfilling financial compliance requirements under commercial law and other applicable legal and regulatory standards.
  
  

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Professional certification related to Risk & Compliance Management, Internal Control or Internal Audit (CRMA, COSO ERM, CIA, IRM qualifications) is a plus.
• Proven track record of success in developing and implementing risk management and compliance programs.
• Minimum 8 year experience in a risk & compliance management role, preferably in a public listed company.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency knowledge of Google Workspace, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal English and German communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with commitment to professionalism and integrity.
