About the Role

As a Junior Strategy Operations Manager at Blacklane, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational clarity and strategic alignment across the organization, ensuring leadership decisions are informed and execution stays on track.

By collaborating across teams, leveraging analytical thinking, business acumen, and contributing to key initiatives such as OKRs, QBRs, and cross-functional strategic projects, you’ll help shape the company’s strategic direction and support high-impact execution at the heart of the business.

Your Impact and Responsibilities

At Blacklane, we measure success by the meaningful change that each team member creates.
In this role, you’ll:

  • Support the coordination of the OKR process by gathering inputs and tracking progress to ensure timely alignment across teams.
  • Follow QBR structures and in collaboration with the Chief of Staff and team leads, assist in preparing QBR materials and consolidating updates to support effective leadership discussions.
  • Use established tools and formats, maintain documentation and updates related to strategic priorities to ensure visibility and easy access for stakeholders.
  • Support the organization and logistics of strategic meetings and workshops, ensuring agendas, notes, and follow-ups are captured accurately and shared on time.
  • With input from the Chief of Staff and in line with internal reporting practices, help collect and structure business data and team updates for internal use and leadership review.
  • Assist in coordinating cross-functional initiatives by tracking milestones, following up with stakeholders, and ensuring tasks progress according to plan.
  • Provide ad hoc support on high-priority tasks and internal projects as delegated by the Chief of Staff or c-level, contributing to smooth execution of strategic initiatives.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, STEM, or a related field.
  • Previous work experience (e.g., internships, part-time roles, full-time positions) in fast-paced environments such as startups, consulting, venture capital, or business operations is a strong plus, but not a strict requirement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; comfortable working with data and making evidence-based decisions.
  • Solid understanding of business fundamentals (e.g., market research, financial concepts, growth strategies).
  • Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack).
  • Familiarity with project management or workflow tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) is a plus.
  • Bonus: exposure to financial modeling, CRM systems, or startup/innovation tools.
  • High level of initiative and ownership; proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change; adaptable and resilient.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills; capable of working across functions and with leadership.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and professional in handling sensitive information.
