Your mission

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior VAT Associate to join our VAT Operations team. In this role, you will support the end-to-end VAT compliance process for international clients. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to grow into a career in tax technology or international VAT.

Responsibilities

• Assist with VAT registrations across various EU jurisdictions
• Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat declarations
• Review client documentation and ensure data completeness and accuracy
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., CSM, Tech) to resolve compliance-related queries
• Maintain internal records and client files up to date
• Monitor deadlines and help ensure the timely filing of all obligations
• Stay informed on EU VAT developments and changes in local regulations
• Support the team with administrative tasks and process improvements
  
  

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree or A-levels in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills in English (German or other EU languages are a plus)
• Basic understanding of VAT or willingness to learn quickly
• Comfortable working in a tech-driven environment and using tools like Excel, Google Workspace, and CRM systems
• Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and in a team
