About You
To further strengthen our internal structures and investor communications, we are creating a new strategic role: VP Finance & Investor Relations (f/m/d). Based in Berlin and reporting directly to our CFO, this position will play a key role in bridging Finance and Investor Relations — laying the foundation for high-quality reporting, fundraising support, and stakeholder engagement

At Earlybird, your projects, responsibilities, and tasks will likely include:
Act as the central interface from Finance to Investor Relations, working closely with the CFO and our internal IR team, with a focus on developing and implementing strategic IR initiatives
Coordinate and prepare comprehensive materials for fund board meetings, LPACs, and AGMs, including detailed fund performance data, market analysis, and strategic positioning, emphasizing the DPI (Distributions to Paid-In Capital) strategy
Support fundraising efforts by creating compelling sales decks, preparing thorough due diligence documents, and managing data room coordination
Provide in-depth analytical insights into fund and portfolio performance for both internal leadership and external stakeholders
Keeping oversight of our financial data, fund reporting process, and investor materials across all funds
Collaborate effectively with external service providers, including legal and tax advisors and any kind of other advisors, to ensure seamless, compliant, and efficient processes
What we hope you bring to the role:
5+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance, with relevant exposure to investor reporting, fundraising, or M&A processes
A strong grasp of fund structures, investor expectations, and performance metrics
Exceptional communication skills in English - German is a plus
Proven ability to manage projects independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
A hands-on mindset and a collaborative working style
Experience working with institutional investors (LPs) and/or supporting fundraising processes is a plus
Based in Berlin or open to relocating
