What Will Your Role Be
We are looking for a curious and pragmatic User Experience Researcher (f/m/d) to join our UX team immediately. You will be part of a small but growing research team, working in close collaboration with 1-2 experienced researchers. This is not a solo mission – you will be embedded directly within the UX team, working alongside UX Designers and a dedicated team lead. We’re looking for a researcher who holds high standards for research quality, has a "get-things-done” mindset, brings passion for research, takes ownership and thrives on making an impact.
The UX team itself is part of a transforming product organization, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to shape not only our research practice but also influence how user experience is embedded in future product structures. You will work closely with UX colleagues to translate user insights into actionable outcomes that help improve both product experiences and strategic directions. Your work will serve multiple product and business stakeholders, but your operational home will be the UX team.
What You´ll Do
- Plan, conduct, analyze, and present user research studies across a variety of touchpoints and projects, including user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and A/B test evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with your research team and other UX roles to define research goals and choose appropriate methods—always ensuring tight alignment within the research discipline.
- Deliver actionable insights that balance tactical validation of specific designs or ideas (micro-level) with strategic, broader research supporting long-term product and business development (macro-level).
- Synthesize data from multiple sources such as user feedback, behavioral analytics, and business insights to support evidence-based decision-making, especially in the context of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and experience improvements.
- Help shape and evolve the research operations and documentation practices of the UX team to increase visibility, impact, and scalability of research across the organization.
- Present findings in a way that is clear, actionable, and accessible to both UX peers and broader business stakeholders through reports, presentations, and workshops.
What You´ll Bring
Expertise & Experience
- Substantial hands-on experience in user research, ideally in e-commerce, SaaS, or consumer-facing environments.
- Academic background in Psychology, Social Sciences, or related fields would be a plus.
- A pragmatic, scientific mindset that balances methodological rigor with business reality.
- Flexibility and resilience to adjust to changing priorities and the ability to let go of ideas if they are not the right fit.
- Experience in dynamic, transforming organizations, ideally covering B2B, B2C, and B2B2C models, with multi-brand complexities.
Methods & Tools
- Proven experience with a range of research methods: usability testings, surveys, interviews, and qualitative/quantitative data analysis and synthesis.
- Ideally familiarity with such tools as UserTesting, UserZoom, Hotjar, Dovetail, SurveyMonkey, JIRA, Confluence or similar.
- Bonus: Experience with Figma, analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), or statistical tools (SPSS, R).
Personal Skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality research, a proactive mindset in addressing challenges, and a strong drive for uncovering user insights.
- Ability to work independently while staying closely connected with the UX team.
- Strong team player mindset, putting collaboration over ego.
- Ability to adapt to evolving structures and navigate organizational change with realistic expectations.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a strong plus but not required.
