We are currently looking for a (Mid/Senior) Data Software Engineer (f/m/d) in Berlin.
Job Description
You work with distributed processing tools such as Flink, Spark, and Kafka to process TBs of data, in batch and streaming modes
You manage and improve cloud data lake infrastructure, using technologies such as Kafka, Hudi/Iceberg, AWS Athena, etc
You will gain experience programming in several programming languages, mainly within the JVM stack such as Scala, Java, Kotlin, but also outside of it, such as: Python, Go, and Rust
You contribute to DevOps operations, using tools such as Kubernetes, Flux, Helm, Terraform, AWS CDK
You help Data Scientists develop pipelines, models and provide both batch and realtime machine learning predictions with sub-second response times (under 30 milliseconds latency p99)
You come up with new ideas and approaches to resolve emerging issues
Qualifications
You bring at least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering
You take interest in software engineering, especially in functional programming and the data engineering field, with a knack for DevOps
You are proficient in at least one programming language: Scala, Java, Kotlin, Rust, Python, or Go
You have hands-on experience working with distributed systems and cloud platforms
You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken
