Your Mission

As a Structural Analyst, you will play a critical role in validating and optimizing the mechanical performance of our satellite platforms. You will use advanced simulation and analysis techniques to ensure our systems withstand the harsh mechanical environments of launch and space — all while pushing for minimal structural mass and maximum performance. Your expertise will directly influence key design decisions and mission success.

• Build and validate finite element models using Hyperworks, ensuring mesh quality and model accuracy.
• Perform static, modal, and dynamic loads analyses (quasi-static, sine, random vibrations) to assess strength, stiffness, and stability.
• Lead mass and performance optimization of structural components and assemblies, balancing reliability, manufacturability, and mission constraints.
• Generate Craig-Bampton condensed models/superelements and support coupled-load analyses.
• Derive instrument and equipment qualification environments and plan/execute environmental test campaigns (e.g., vibration testing).
• Identify and assess structural load paths, detect weaknesses, and propose robust design improvements.
• Evaluate the strength of bolted joints through hand calculations across load scenarios.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including justification reports, analysis summaries, and design review packages.
• Collaborate with mechanical design, systems, and test engineering teams to ensure efficient and integrated spacecraft design.
  
  

Your Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in structural dynamics and dynamic loads, especially modal, quasi-static, sine, and random vibration simulations.
• Deep understanding of performance/mass trade-offs and spacecraft weight optimization practices.
• Proficient with Hyperworks for FEM modelling, analysis, and model reduction.
• Experience with Craig-Bampton reduction, superelements, and coupled system analyses.
• Strong grasp of load path analysis, failure modes, and structural reinforcement strategies.
• Familiarity with space project environments and structural requirements (ECSS, NASA standards is a plus).
• Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages for analysis automation is advantageous.
• Strong capability in bolted joint strength evaluation via hand calculations.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
