How you will make an impact
- Define and lead the evolution of Payrails’ brand building a visual identity and narrative style that’s clear, cohesive, and powerful
- Set the creative direction for all design work across marketing, content, GTM, and internal touchpoints - from the website to pitch decks to event materials
- Translate complex ideas into clean, thoughtful design that enhances storytelling and elevates how customers experience Payrails
- Partner closely with Marketing, GTM, and Product to ensure that design and brand are deeply embedded in everything we do - not just how we look, but how we think
- Build a scalable design system and creative workflows that enable consistency and quality at speed
- Raise the bar for craft and detail, making sure every pixel, every word, and every frame contributes to a brand we’re proud of
- You bring 10+ years of experience in brand, creative, or design, including leading and mentoring design teams in high-growth tech companies where brand was a strategic asset, not just an aesthetic layer
- You’ve built and scaled high-performing design teams and creative cultures where people take pride in their craft, push each other to improve, and care deeply about the work
- You’re a systems thinker with strong visual instincts able to design not just beautiful things, but repeatable frameworks that scale quality and consistency
- You care deeply about storytelling and how design can clarify, amplify, and emotionally connect
- You’re a builder at heart energized by the opportunity to define a brand from early stages and evolve it as the company grows
- You’ve led creative work across multiple channels (web, digital, print, motion, etc.) and know how to prioritize what matters without compromising on craft
- You take ownership, move with purpose, and hold yourself and your work to the highest standard of excellence
- You understand that great design serves a purpose and you care as much about achieving business goals as you do about visual polish
