As a Market Analyst within Portfolio & Business Strategy at Siemens Energy’s Transformation of Industry (TI) business area, you will work in a dedicated team under the guidance of the Markets & Partnerships Lead and provide critical insights into market trends and dynamics. Your day will revolve around analyzing global energy markets, identifying emerging opportunities, and delivering data-driven recommendations that shape our strategic decision making.

Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Increasing electrification and efficiency are key and demand for green H2 and derivative fuels will rise. We enable decarbonization of the industrial sector and the transition to sustainable processes, building on a strong industrial customer base, a global network, diverse technologies, and integrated execution capabilities.

Your day will revolve around analyzing global energy markets, identifying emerging opportunities, and delivering data-driven recommendations that shape our strategic decision making.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Analysis of global and regional energy market trends to identify opportunities and risks for TI’s portfolio and strategy
- Leadership in the conception, management, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative market research projects with the role as a key business partner for internal teams (IMBs) to enhance collaboration and insights
- Development and maintenance of advanced market models and forecasting tools for various energy sub-sectors, including renewables and hydrogen, as well as monitoring of macroeconomic factors, energy policies, and geopolitical events to assess their impact on the energy industry
- Coordination of the Market Evaluation Process for TI, ensuring alignment in approaches and identification of common market drivers
- Creation and dissemination of in-depth market intelligence to provide actionable insights for leadership decision-making
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders and establishment of partnerships with market research institutions to enhance industry knowledge and stay updated on developments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field, with emphasis on market analysis or energy systems
- several years of experience in market research, forecasting, or strategic consulting within the energy sector
- Prior knowledge of Siemens Energy market evaluation processes (preferred).
- Expertise in energy market dynamics, including renewables, industrial applications, and decarbonization technologies with proficiency in advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, Excel) and experience in developing market models or scenarios
- Strong verbal and written English skills for effective communication with global teams and senior stakeholders, as well as a strategic and analytical mindset with a strong interest in problem-solving, energy transformation, and sustainability
- Proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to work across diverse teams and geographies, along with a willingness to travel
