Founder’s Associate – Biomaterials & Lab Operations - #2630873
RENATRIX
Berlin, Germany | Full-time | On-site | Start ASAP
At RENATRIX, we are developing tissue-specific extracellular matrix (ECM) biomaterials for advanced cell culture, organoid, and biofabrication applications.
We recently secured our laboratory space and are entering an exciting new phase: establishing our biomaterial production environment and scaling our operations. We are looking for a highly motivated Founder’s Associate to work closely with the founding team and help build RENATRIX from the ground up.
This is not a corporate job. We are looking for someone who understands science, enjoys solving problems, building systems, taking ownership, and contributing directly to the growth of an early-stage biotech startup.

- Support the setup and organization of a new biomaterial production facility
- Execute and optimize biomaterial production workflows and SOPs
- Maintain laboratory, production, and quality documentation
- Coordinate procurement of laboratory equipment and consumables
- Support inventory management and operational workflows
- Assist with quality control and batch preparation
- Help implement structured laboratory and production processes
- Coordinate routine S1/S2 laboratory operations
Who We're Looking For
- Minimum Master's degree (required)
- Background in biotechnology, biomaterials, molecular biology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, or a related field
- Strong hands-on laboratory experience
- Experience with biomaterial production, tissue handling, decellularization, or related workflows is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP environments, SOP-driven work, and QMS principles is highly desirable
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented working style
- Ability to independently execute assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment
- Must be based in Berlin
- Available to start as soon as possible
What We Offer
- Initial 6-month paid scholarship funded through the EXIST program
- Possibility of extension depending on future funding and company growth
- Opportunity for role progression based on performance
- Direct exposure to startup building and biotech venture creation
- Opportunity to shape laboratory infrastructure and workflows from day one
- Close collaboration with the founders and scientific mentors
