Both private customers and more than 40,000 registered vehicle dealers use the platform. Including listing exports to the sister platform Kleinanzeigen, mobile.de reaches about 20 million unique users per month (AGMA digital facts; mobile.de and Kleinanzeigen; categories: cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, motorhomes; Ø month April 2022 to March 2023). As a "one-stop shop," mobile.de offers not only buying and selling services but also financing and leasing solutions, among others. What you’ll do & Who you are

Join one of mobile.de's Dealer Teams, where we create impactful, user-focused solutions that empower automotive dealers to manage inventory, sales and service. We take pride in delivering high-quality dealer-facing features, ensuring an outstanding user journey from end-to-end.

Besides leading your team, you’ll become an active member of our company-wide leadership group, where we exchange ideas, iterate, and improve our leadership principles and ways of working.

You will report directly to the Head of Engineering. This is a hybrid role, and our office is located in Berlin Charlottenburg.

Job requirements

• You have experience leading software engineering teams and embrace the concept of servant leadership.
• You are passionate about Agile software development, Product Discovery, and Continuous Delivery.
• You are empathetic and provide candid feedback regularly.
• You are a strong networker who connects with peers and stakeholders across the organization.
• You have 3+ years of experience with data-driven decision-making and working with measurable outcomes.
• Change is inevitable in our company. Therefore, you have an open mindset and prefer to shape change rather than resist it.
• Experience with Data product development is a plus.
  
  

Job responsibilities

As an engineering manager, you will

• Lead a team of software engineers. You will support their growth as engineers, business contributors, and teammates.
• Work closely with Product, UX, and Business to find pragmatic solutions for customer needs that can be easily and quickly A/B tested.
• Contribute to and shape our business, culture, and ways of working.
• Foster a data-driven culture, encouraging decisions based on metrics rather than gut feeling.
• Act as an ambassador for your team and build strong relationships with key partners from Product, Business, Analytics, Customer Service, and beyond.
