Location: Hard Rock Cafe Berlin, Germany

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: €13.90 - €14.50 gross per hour, depending on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. Information on compensation is provided in line with pay transparency best practices.

Job Description

Even though you may not always be in direct contact with our guests, your role is essential to the success of Hard Rock Cafe Berlin. As a Kitchen Team Member, you will be trained in multiple areas of the kitchen and will support the team in delivering exceptional food quality, cleanliness, and operational excellence.

• Goods Receiving and Storage
• Expediting (Pass)

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and properly store food and supply deliveries.
• Prepare ingredients and menu items according to Hard Rock Cafe recipes and standards.
• Correctly label, date, cover, and store all food products.
• Set up and break down workstations before and after service.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, storage, and preparation areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Restock products, ingredients, and supplies as necessary.
• Support waste reduction and recycling initiatives wherever possible.
• Read and execute food orders accurately through kitchen ticket systems or electronic ordering systems.
• Ensure all food items meet Hard Rock Cafe quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Assist with large group orders, special requests, and high-volume service periods.
• Support food service operations when required.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and management.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and productive team environment.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Previous kitchen or food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move for extended periods.
• Professional and hygienic appearance in accordance with company standards.
• Compliance with company uniform and grooming standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to remain calm and focused during busy service periods.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and shifts as required.
