About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and communicative Payroll Specialist to join our payroll team in Berlin. Reporting directly to the Payroll Team Lead for couriers in Germany, this role is pivotal in managing accurate payroll processing, preparing related documentation, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated entry-level professional with theoretical knowledge in payroll and accounting to gain practical experience within a fast-paced, multinational setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating, distributing, and preparing tax and deduction calculations, maintaining precise payroll records, and supporting the creation of reports for management. Additionally, they will handle employee inquiries related to payroll, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills in payroll administration and compliance while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced education in payroll, accounting, or a related field
• Entry-level experience with a focus on theoretical knowledge; prior experience in payroll accounting is advantageous
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Effective communication skills in German and English
• Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  
  

Responsibilities

• Validate, distribute, and prepare tax calculations and deductions
• Maintain accurate payroll documentation and records
• Create and review reports for management and compliance purposes
• Ensure all payments adhere to collective agreements, legal requirements, and regulatory standards
• Prepare and distribute payroll information to employees in a timely manner
• Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll matters
