Forward Deployed Engineer - #2678912
Intric

Stadt: Berlin
Vertragstyp: Ganztags
Arbeitsplan: Volle Tag
Europe's public institutions serve hundreds of millions of people, and most lack the AI infrastructure to do it well. Intric is changing that. Our sovereign AI platform is already used by 70+ municipalities, governments, and institutions. We've built a leading position in Sweden and are expanding across Europe.
What You'll Do
You've shipped things that other people depend on. You've been on-call when they broke. You've dealt with real production risk, real failure, and end-to-end ownership without a safety net. That background is what makes the rest of this possible.
Your title might have been Implementation Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or something else entirely. What matters is what you actually did: owning delivery in customer environments, end to end, with real stakes attached.
What You'll Gain
You'll be our founding FDE in Germany. You'll build a combination that's hard to find elsewhere: production-level AI deployment experience in high-security environments, across multiple industries, with direct ownership of customer outcomes from start to finish.
You'll start your onboarding with two months at our Stockholm HQ to spend time with the team and learn all about Intric. You'll learn the platform from the people who built it, and, more importantly, build the relationships you'll lean on when you're alone in a customer's environment and something breaks. After that you're based in Germany, but Stockholm stays your team base: we expect you to be at HQ (Stockholm) at least twice a month. This role only works if you're genuinely part of the team, not a satellite.
Up to 80% of your work happens in customer environments, alongside their technical teams, primarily across Germany with some cross-European travel as projects require. You learn their systems, integrate the platform, and own the outcome from the first sales conversation through go-live and beyond.
The environment spans Python, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, self-hosted LLMs, and Svelte. You won't use all of it on every project, but you need to move across the stack as the situation demands. You use AI tools well and quickly, but your value is the judgment behind them: knowing what to build, how to prioritize, and when to push back.
Your default is finding the path, not describing the obstacle. Sometimes that means telling a customer that what they're asking for is the wrong thing to build. Both are part of the job.
Why Intric
What You'll Do
- Be the technical owner within customer engagements, working alongside sales and customer success from pre-sales through go-live
- Build integrations across APIs, authentication systems, data pipelines, and document platforms
- Deploy Intric in on-prem and private cloud environments with strict security requirements
- Debug what no one else can figure out, in environments with limited tooling and high constraints
- Turn ambiguous requirements into production-grade solutions customers rely on daily
- Prioritize ruthlessly across competing demands, from a position of knowledge rather than whoever is loudest
- Feed real-world deployment insights back to Product and Engineering, shaping the roadmap
You've shipped things that other people depend on. You've been on-call when they broke. You've dealt with real production risk, real failure, and end-to-end ownership without a safety net. That background is what makes the rest of this possible.
- You work across the full stack without needing to hand off: frontend, backend, infrastructure, AI layer, GitOps, networking, protocols, raw API work
- You take ownership of customer outcomes, not individual tasks. If the customer isn't reaching their goal, that's your problem to solve.
- You can say no to the wrong thing and yes to the right one, even under pressure from the customer.
- You can explain a technical decision to a non-technical department manager and defend it to their engineers, often in the same meeting
- You're effective in ambiguous, under-documented, high-constraint environments

- Exposure to complex enterprise architectures across sectors and countries
