Job Description

Intro

As a Product Analyst in the Real Estate & Motors Analytics team, you are the data expert for product decisions across the RE and Motors domains. You ensure tracking is right, experiments are sound, and stakeholders have the data foundations they need to act independently. Working closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and Business peers, you combine deep analytical expertise with a builder mindset — automating what can be automated, enabling what can be self-served, and owning the complex cases that need expert judgment.

This is a limited 1-year contract position. Hybrid role, office in Berlin. You report to the Analytics Lead, Real Estate & Motors.

Job requirements

Who You Are

• You bring strong SQL skills and hands-on product analytics experience including tracking ownership, experimentation, and performance KPI analysis.
• You bring practical experience with AI tools in analytical workflows and know when to automate vs. when to go deep. Agentic AI is your daily companion and you come with a proven track record of utilizing AI tooling to get annoying and valuable tasks done (big plus: Claude).
• You have personally defined tracking specs, coordinated their implementation across PM/SWE/DE, and verified them in production — not just configured existing tools.
• You've designed and evaluated A/B tests independently, not just read results. You understand statistical power, guardrail metrics, and when not to trust a result.
• You demonstrate an ownership mindset, strong prioritization, and clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You are comfortable building data products for self-service — semantic layers, metrics definitions, reusable templates.
• Nice to have: advanced experimentation methods (CUPED, sequential testing, Bayesian approaches), exposure to Python, dbt, or modern analytics engineering tooling; experience in classifieds or marketplace platforms.
  
  

Job responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Own product analytics for RE and Motors squads: tracking definition, funnel analysis, KPI monitoring, and performance reporting across seeker experience, seeker monetization, seller experience and Motors product initiatives.
• Define event tracking specifications end-to-end — from schema design through coordination with PM, SWE, and DE to verification in production. Build automated checks that scale beyond manual QA.
• Lead A/B experimentation: design tests from hypothesis to readout, apply advanced methods (sequential testing, CUPED, interaction effects) where appropriate, and build self-service tooling and templates so product teams can run standard experiments independently.
• Contribute to the semantic layer and data model so RE&M data is self-queryable by stakeholders — reducing analyst bottlenecks for routine data access.
• Integrate AI tools into your analytical workflows and help stakeholders do the same. Automate where it creates leverage; go deep where it matters.
• Support forecasting, planning, and operational analytics initiatives across the RE&M domain.
• Own your backlog — prioritize with transparency, push back on low-value requests, and make trade-offs visible to stakeholders.
