In this role you will drive the adoption, implementation, and scaling of AI across our global organization. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, with a strong focus on delivering practical AI solutions and measurable business impact. We are seeking a pragmatic leader who combines deep technical expertise with real-world manufacturing and enterprise experience and who is passionate about turning AI opportunities into tangible business results.

Your Tasks:

• Drive AI Execution Across the Business: Own and deliver the global AI roadmap by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing high-impact use cases that generate measurable business value. Drive rapid execution, ensure adoption, scale successful solutions across the organization, and continuously evaluate impact through clear KPIs.
• Lead AI in Manufacturing and Operations: Work closely with plant managers and operational teams to deploy AI solutions across manufacturing environments, including predictive maintenance, quality inspection, production optimization, supply chain forecasting, and energy efficiency. Ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and embedded into daily operations.
• Transform Enterprise Processes Through AI: Implement AI across commercial and corporate functions such as sales, engineering, project management, procurement, service, and finance by delivering solutions that improve decision-making, automate workflows, unlock insights from structured and unstructured data, and increase productivity.
• Build and Scale Production-Ready Solutions: Own the end-to-end AI lifecycle from data and model development through deployment and support. Ensure seamless integration with ERP, MES, CRM, and other enterprise platforms while making pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions that maximize business value and long-term sustainability.
• Lead the Global AI Network: Coordinate AI activities across manufacturing sites and business units, establishing consistent standards, sharing best practices, supporting local teams, and ensuring aligned delivery and execution across the organization.
• Drive Adoption and Capability Building: Accelerate AI adoption through hands-on engagement, stakeholder training, capability building, and change management. Establish a strong network of AI champions and ensure solutions become part of everyday ways of working.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Technical Expertise: You possess strong hands-on AI and data capabilities and are able to independently build, evaluate, and deploy solutions across machine learning, computer vision, NLP, and forecasting, including full-stack understanding from data pipelines to system integration.
• Industrial & System Knowledge: You have deep understanding of manufacturing and commercial environments, including experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP), CRM platforms, and applying AI to both structured and unstructured data such as documents, emails, and service tickets.
• Implementation & Delivery Skills: You are execution-driven and experienced in delivering scalable AI use cases in operational environments, making pragmatic decisions, integrating solutions into workflows, and ensuring long-term maintainability.
• Leadership & Change Capability: You lead through influence and action, drive adoption in complex multi-site organizations, coach embedded teams, and overcome resistance with credibility across shopfloor, business functions, and executive level.
• Mindset & Personality: You are highly resilient, action-oriented, and pragmatic, with a strong bias for results, the ability to cut through complexity, and the drive to deliver impact even in imperfect organizational conditions.
• Languages: You are fluent in English; German skills are a strong advantage.
