We are seeking an experienced Senior Expert, Media Buying & Marketing Sourcing to join our EMEA Professional Services team in Berlin. This role combines expertise in media buying, agency management, strategic sourcing, and stakeholder engagement to deliver impactful sourcing outcomes across the Marketing category. The successful candidate will partner with global stakeholders, lead complex sourcing initiatives, optimize supplier performance, and drive commercial value across media and marketing services spend.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing projects across media buying, media planning, marketing services, and agency spend.
• Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies that deliver value, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
• Manage competitive sourcing events including RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Evaluate agency remuneration models, media investments, pricing structures, incentives, and commercial terms.
• Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and cost optimization initiatives across media and marketing categories.
• Build and manage strategic supplier and agency relationships to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Support media transparency and governance initiatives, including audits and compliance activities.
• Partner with Marketing, Procurement, Legal, and business stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Deliver clear reporting on project progress, savings, risks, and value creation opportunities.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience within media buying, marketing procurement, agency management, category management, or strategic sourcing.
• Strong understanding of the media ecosystem, including agencies, publishers, digital platforms, and technology providers.
• Experience across traditional, digital, and programmatic media channels.
• Proven track record leading sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and commercial discussions.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience in benchmarking, spend analysis, and business case development.
• Knowledge of agency remuneration models, media pricing structures, and commercial performance metrics.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
• Fluent English required; additional European languages are advantageous.
