Job Description

Core Impact & Responsibilities

• Strategic Innovation Funnel: Own the end-to-end innovation lifecycle. Accelerate the journey from ideation and proof-of-concept (PoC) to full industrialization, ensuring every investment aligns with clear business cases and revenue potential.
• Innovation Ecosystem Orchestration: Lead the cross-functional Innovation Board. Act as the primary conduit between GE Vernova and the external innovation landscape, including elite universities, tech startups, and research institutions to secure our competitive edge.
• AI Leadership & Democratization: Define and execute the AI strategy for Engineering & Technology. Drive the portfolio of AI use cases, ensuring rigorous governance, quality assurance, and seamless scaling across global assets.
• IP Strategy as a Competitive Asset: Transform technical ingenuity into a robust patent portfolio. Guide the team through complex IP assessment and invention disclosure processes to build a moat around our proprietary technologies.
• Culture of Invention: Instill an entrepreneurial, agile mindset across the organization. Empower engineers to push boundaries, pivot quickly, and maintain a "fail-fast, learn-faster" approach to R&D.
  
  

The Profile We Are Looking For

• Background: Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Industry Experience: Proven leadership in R&D or Technology Management, with a deep understanding of Power Electronics and the industrial application of AI.
• Strategic Execution: A track record of moving innovations from the lab to the market. You know how to build a business case as well as you know how to validate a prototype.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate complex technical breakthroughs into "customer value" that drives revenue and market differentiation.
• Influencing Skills: A natural collaborator who can break down silos. You have the gravitas to influence global stakeholders and the charisma to inspire multidisciplinary teams.
• Language: Fluency in English is required; professional proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
