lemon.markets is a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform: simple digital access to capital markets through a single API. Our API-first infrastructure abstracts brokerage complexity with a well-documented API and a clear regulatory framework, so partners can launch customer-centric, compliant products in weeks, not months.

As part of the dwpbank group, we are adding a layer of resources and expertise to benefit from, while continuing to operate as an independent fintech company with our own team, product, and start-up identity under the dwpbank umbrella.

Your Mission:

As a Founder’s Associate Intern, you will support the leadership team here at lemon.markets, making sure the business grows and runs smoothly, ensuring alignment across all business areas.

You will work with different teams on a selection of diverse projects, ranging from Strategy and Operations to BizDev and GTM and more. These projects can be hard to forecast and will highly depend on needs evolving from the phase lemon.markets is in, as well as hugely on your interests and the skill set you already bring along or want to learn.

You will get the best of both worlds: Experience first-hand how a start-up is being built, enjoy and benefit from a fast-paced and flexible environment, while working closely with experienced experts in their field. That means you will not only support and leverage your skill set, but learn and grow by taking on projects with a high degree of ownership.

You will:

• Support our leadership team on strategic projects by helping develop and execute business strategies and ensuring alignment with our company goals and objectives.
• Help define and develop our GTM strategy by researching market trends, analysing competitors and their activities, and staying up to date with the evolving brokerage landscape in Europe.
• Drive strategic initiatives across teams as we scale our business operations and strengthen the partner experience post launch.
• Critically assess, analyse, and improve existing processes, helping us build scalable processes that enable the organisation to run smoothly and support our continued growth.
  
  

Who are you:

• You have a background in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer science or a related field.
• You are an entrepreneurial and analytical problem solver who combines structured and critical thinking with a high degree of ownership and independence.
• You have gained hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You understand what working in an early-stage startup looks like. Alternatively, you have worked in consulting, venture capital, tech or similar roles before.
• You take ownership, identify problems proactively, challenge the status quo, and manage ambiguity and changing priorities effectively.
• You have a hands-on and iterative mindset: you act quickly, learn from first results, and continuously improve your work across changing tasks and requirements.
• You are a collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and learning new tools and skills.
• You are fluent or a native German speaker (this is a mandatory requirement). You also have strong written and verbal English skills.

• Compensation package: Our Interns are compensated at a fixed rate of €2,425 per month.

• Flexible working hours: We trust people to choose when they work best and avoid a rigid 9-to-5 mindset. You decide on the rhythm that helps you do your best work, with only shared core hours from 12:00 to 16:00 to support collaboration.
• Hybrid work setup: You can work from Berlin within a hybrid model. However, we strongly encourage our internship “lemoneers” to spend at least 4 days or more per week in the office. Being on-site allows you to learn faster, provides a more immersive experience, helps you collaborate more effectively with the team, and ensures you fully benefit from hands-on support.

• Workation: Get out of here! At lemon.markets you can work remotely from anywhere in the EU for up to 10 consecutive days at a time, and up to 60 days per year in total.
