Your role as a Working Student (m/f/d) Accounting & Tax – Product Development

As a Working Student (m/f/d) Accounting & Tax in Product Development, you will apply your tax and accounting expertise directly to the further development of our software. Together with our product team, you will ensure that new features are implemented correctly from a technical perspective, are practical, and easy to understand. Instead of working in traditional client services, you will actively contribute to the technical quality of a modern software product while gaining insights into a modern product environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• You will work closely with our product team and ensure that new features of our accounting and tax software are implemented correctly from a technical perspective.
• You will test new features, accounting logic, and reports for tax and accounting accuracy and help identify technical errors at an early stage.
• You will review product-related functions such as exports, reports, and other accounting workflows for completeness and technical plausibility.
• You will research tax and accounting-related questions and document the results for the product team.
• You will support operational topics and contribute your expertise to the further development of our product.
  
  

About You

• You are currently enrolled in a business- or tax-related degree program (e.g. taxation, business administration, business law, or a comparable field of study).
• You already have practical experience in accounting, ideally through vocational training as a tax clerk or a comparable commercial role with a focus on accounting.
• You have experience with DATEV and are confident using the software.
• You have sound knowledge of accounting as well as a basic understanding of tax-related matters.
• You work independently, in a structured manner, and with great attention to detail.
• You are tech-savvy and interested in applying your professional expertise in a product and software context.
• You have very good English and German language skills (at least C1 level).
