Senior Grid Code Compliance Engineer (all genders) - #2715943

Your mission:

• Analyze, interpret, and translate international grid code regulations into technical and product requirements, while shaping meteocontrol's strategic approach to new markets, certification requirements, and grid-integration functionalities.
• Optimize control loops of renewable power plant control solutions.
• Independently familiarize yourself with complex technical topics and continuously expand your expertise.
• Drive the evolution of Grid Code Compliance capabilities through continuous improvement of methodologies, tools, and internal processes, while fostering knowledge sharing and technical excellence across the organization.
• Provide technical guidance on Grid Code Compliance topics by assessing technical complexity, business impact, customer needs, and regulatory developments, helping guide the team's focus, priorization and technical roadmap.
• Use, maintain, and support our simulation models.
• Work in an international environment. Collaborate closely with colleagues from Development, Product Management, and our local experts in our subsidiaries.
  
  

Your profile:

• Bachelor's, Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in grid code compliance, power system studies, certification, grid integration, or renewable energy control systems.
• Strong understanding of international grid codes and grid connection requirements (e.g. VDE-AR-N 4105, VDE-AR-N 4110, RfG, and national implementation guidelines).
• Experience with power system analysis and simulation tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to understand, interpret, and challenge complex technical and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to independently analyze complex technical topics and derive practical engineering solutions.
• Confidence in working independently, making well-founded decisions, and proactively communicating alignment needs.
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and work effectively with internal and external technical stakeholders.
• Ability to create clear, well-structured, and understandable technical documentation.
• Language skills: Fluent in English and intermediate proficiency in German; Spanish is a plus.
