As a Head (f/m/d) of Energy Management Applications, you will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team while driving the delivery of innovative digital energy solutions. You will balance people leadership with engineering excellence, ensuring high-quality, secure, and reliable software delivery. Throughout your day, you will collaborate with product teams, business stakeholders, and customers to align technology with market needs and strategic priorities. You will guide agile development, manage resources and risks, and continuously improve engineering and DevOps practices. By engaging with customers and translating their requirements into impactful solutions, you will identify new business opportunities and support growth. Your leadership will help shape digital and AI-enabled solutions that create sustainable value for our customers and Siemens Energy.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Leadership, mentoring and development of a multidisciplinary engineering team across software, data science and DevOps
• Establishment of an inclusive, high-performance engineering culture aligned with agile principles and business continuity
• Responsibility for end-to-end software delivery, including design, development, testing and deployment of energy management applications
• Ensuring excellence in software engineering, architecture, security, code quality, operational reliability and DevOps practices
• Alignment of engineering activities with product roadmaps, business requirements and strategic technology objectives across internal and external stakeholders
• Leadership of customer engagements, requirements management and cross-functional initiatives, including identification of digital and AI-enabled solutions supporting business growth and customer value
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Extensive years of experience in software engineering, including 2–3 years in team leadership, engineering management or technical project management
• Experience in customer engagement, stakeholder management, requirements engineering and business opportunity identification
• Expertise in team leadership, mentoring, performance management, talent development and resource planning
• Strong knowledge of software engineering, SDLC, cloud-native architecture, DevOps, AI-enabled solutions, data science and analytics
• Expertise in agile methodologies, technical project management, risk management and business continuity planning
