The Role

Are you an energetic and experienced operations leader who loves building things from the ground up? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can shape the way a business operates, build great teams and create exceptional guest experiences? Then this could be the opportunity for you.

As City General Manager – Berlin, you’ll take the lead on one of Bob W’s most exciting upcoming openings: our biggest building to date, with 285 units in a prime Berlin location. You’ll be responsible for bringing the property to life, building and leading the local team, and ensuring the operation runs smoothly from day one.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping how Bob W operates at scale. You’ll have ownership of the day-to-day operations in Berlin, from launching the new property and establishing strong operational processes to managing budgets and P&L, developing your team and making sure our guests have an outstanding experience.

The Berlin operation is covered 24/7, so you’ll be responsible for creating a strong operational setup that delivers consistently across all hours of the day and night. You’ll work closely with our central teams and local partners, while having the autonomy to make decisions and drive improvements in the city.

This is a pivotal moment for our Berlin market. With the opening of our largest property yet, you’ll have the chance to build something ambitious, set the foundations for a high-performing operation and help shape the next chapter of Bob W in Berlin.

Please note that visa sponsorship is not offered for this role; candidates must already hold a valid work permit for Germany.

Annual Gross Salary: €85,000 - €95,000

Furthermore, in this role, you will:

• Manage and launch local operations, focusing on 5-star guest experience, profitability and business growth.
• Manage and own the budgets and P&Ls for our properties in Berlin.
• Define and scope your team goals based on company-wide OKRs and lead your team to deliver exceptional results.
• Take on the responsibility for hiring, onboarding, and offboarding team members
• Manage relationships and contracts with external vendors and service providers (e.g. cleaning, maintenance), ensuring standards are met.
• Build the structure that lets your team perform independently: clear, measurable goals, coaching team supervisors, and simplifying or automating day-to-day work.
• Develop cross-functional partnerships, actively solve problems, and unblock team members while positively challenging and encouraging participation.
• Be an active role model for Bob W's mission, strategy, and culture
  
  
  

Our 5-star candidate has:

• 5+ years of experience in multi-property operations or hospitality with P&L ownership.
• Experience in hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and leading a team.
• Experience managing external vendors and contracts (cleaning, maintenance, or similar service providers).
• A customer service-driven attitude and a passion for delivering world-class guest experiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively anticipate and address potential issues.
• The ability to stay calm under pressure while managing multiple situations simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
• The ability to quickly learn and adapt to hospitality apps and operational technology tools.
• A valid work permit for Germany; no sponsorship required.
