What You’ll Do & Who You Are

We are looking for a Tech Lead (d/f/m) to join our commercial team and contribute to building new features that will help our professional customers grow their businesses. Kleinanzeigen.de is not only a large marketplace for private listings but also an ideal platform for commercial users to market their products and services. Our successful PRO business product is a key part of our professional offering for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). You will play a crucial role in driving the technical direction, ensuring quality, and mentoring other engineers.

Your responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
• Collaborate with the product manager and engineering manager to align technical solutions with product goals.
• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems.
• Find the right balance between quality and speed of delivery as well as manage technical debt.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality.
• Mentor and coach the engineers in our team.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and bottlenecks.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
  
  

Your profile

• Previously lead development in cross-functional agile teams and know that responsibility does not end with deployment. You have a real passion for clean code.
• Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, AWS, building systems that scale. Excellent knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (we use MySQL, Apache Kafka and Elasticsearch)
• Growth mindset with an ambition to get up to speed with new systems and concepts quickly
• You are fluent in English. German is a plus.
