Working Student Spatial Data Science (m/f/d) - #2186007

Targomo is a Berlin-based growing solution provider specialized in location intelligence, enabling companies to make data-driven location decisions. Our web-based platform, TargomoLOOP, supports well-known retail, hospitality, and quick commerce companies in +25 countries with location analysis.

We are looking for a Spatial Data Science Working Student (20 hours / week) to strengthen our Data Science team in Berlin. In this role you will play a key part in processing and analyzing mobility data, helping to refine our data pipeline and develop innovative validation methods. Your contributions will directly enhance our ability to derive meaningful insights from spatial datasets and improve our predictive models.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse various datasets like mobility data, socio-demographic data or geo referential data.
• Create and improve tools for automatic processing of heterogeneous (geo) data sets.
• Design and implement tools to ensure excellent data quality.
• Develop innovative approaches on data analysis and visualization together with your colleagues from product management and software development teams.
• Optimize and constantly review our unique prediction models that we use to analyze the success drivers of our clients.
  
  

Your profile

• You are currently enrolled in university, studying computer science, mathematics, data science or another relevant field
• Familiarity with Python is a must, particularly with NumPy and (Geo)Pandas
• Ideally you have initial experience in dealing with large, complex datasets and/or spatial date
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills and strong English communication skills
• Ideally you are based in Berlin and able to work from our office at least once per week (but not a must)
